Little known fact about the Dalai Lama and the Gerry Cheevers Mask.
The Dalai Lama took a break from his spiritual duties in the seventies and became a goaltender for the Boston Bruins. His hockey name was “Gerry Cheevers” and he led the Bruins to Stanley Cup wins in 1970 and 1972. He wore a really cool mask and his true identity went undiscovered until he let it slip at a meditation workshop in 2012.
Cheevers (Lama) retired from hockey in 1980. He has since returned to spiritual work and writes inspirational quotes suitable for sharing on social media.
